SCREENINGS OF SATYAJIT RAY IN THESSALONIKI

Small in scope but large in importance tribute to Satyajit Ray, the great Indian film maker who left a heavy mark on world cinema , is organized by the Film Club Solaris in Thessaloniki  in cooperation with the greek- indian association of culture and development ( ELINEPA ) . The screenings will take place at Cafe Bazaar, Papamarkou 34 str. behind Athonos Square , close to Aristotle’s Square.

It will begin on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at 6.00 pm with the film Pather Panchali (1955) and will continue on Tuesday May 6th, 9:00 pm with the movie Ganashatru (1989) and May 13th, 2014 at 9:00 pm with the movie Agantuk ( 1991 ) . During the first day Dr . Dimitrios Vassiliadis will comment on the film.
